Contracts Manager / Head of Residential Business Unit – Career Opportunity
£90,000 – £100,000 + Full Package

As part of a company's succession planning, a medium sized contractor has an exciting opportunity for a Contracts Manager to eventually lead the business unit.
You will be joining a £40m principle contractor who were established over 25 years ago and have built an excellent reputation for reliability and delivering high quality workmanship for their clients.
Initially, you will be responsible for up to 4 residential project but you will be given further responsibilities over the following 12 months with the plan to success the current incumbent, who will be retiring,
•Experience in all forms of residential build, working under both traditional or design & build schemes.
•Programme management
•Project reporting and contractual management
•Managing changes to the contract scope, programme and quality of the project
•Ensuring that any additional work / change to the original scope is properly authorised
•Chairing and Issuing meeting minutes for all the meetings held with the subcontractors/consultants.
•Develop Tender Health & Safety Plan with input from Health & Safety Manager for issue as Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan and ensure development continues as subcontracts are placed.
•Chair and minute design team meetings as frequently as necessary (weekly at the start of the project). All consultants, Building Control and subcontractors with design responsibility to attend.
•Develop the tender programme into contract programme which satisfies the contract requirements (use Microsoft project format), as typical example
This opportunity will suit someone who possesses the following experience, qualities and attributes:
·5+ Years' experience as a Contracts Manager with a principle contractor.
·Further academic qualifications within Construction such as a degree or CIOB
·Drive, ambition determination
·Enjoys winning, developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
