A specialist subcontractor within the Earthworks sector are searching for a Construction Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

This business has a long and rich history having been operating for over 50 years and has worked on some of the most prestigious infrastructure projects across the UK in this time.

Due to an ever increasing workload in the Buckinghamshire region, they require a civil engineering professional who has operated at Sub Agent / Site Agent level to join their team as a Construction Manager.

You will be working within a close-knit team and reporting to the Project Leader who will assist you in ensuring the project runs smoothly and to budget.

This position would suit somebody that has direct Bulk Earthworks experience or alternatively gained some exposure to this having worked on Major Highways/Motorway schemes.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

Producing three weekly look ahead programmes

Ensure any defects or problems are highlighted immediately

Oversee the production of Quality Assurance forms by the engineering teams

Holding regular engineering progress meetings

Ensure works are being carried out within a safe and efficient manner

About you:

HNC/D or Degree in Civil Engineering

Previous experience within Bulk Earthworks or having worked on Highways schemes

Demonstrable history of planning works using programmes such as Asta

Able to prioritise your day and multi-task

Strong communication skills
