Commercial Manager

Exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join a great contractor in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire

They have built up a superb reputation as a leading Design & Build Contractor, operating across the UK – focusing on interior fit-outs / refurbishment commercial schemes up to around £8m

They support companies with their commercial design, construction, and maintenance projects – creating workplaces that motivate staff and build businesses, focusing on delivering solutions and maintaining a high level of customer service. Focus is on commercial schemes

Their own office space – which was designed by their Directors is bright, open plan and ultra-modern and the lay out encourages a collaborative working environment.

Our client now employs around 120 employees and are growing – they are currently having a record year

The Role – Commercial Manager

You will be predominantly office based in Milton Keynes, with visits to site / clients as and when required (mostly around Milton Keynes or within an hour of Milton Keynes)

You will be managing the commercial team and overseeing projects (managing the Quantity Surveying team only – 1 experienced Quantity Surveyor, 2 Juniors, and 1 Commercial Administrator

Duties will be varied and will include attending client meetings, contractual negotiations – you will work alongside the Quantity Surveyors and Construction Managers and will be the face of the company on major projects

The right person

You will either be a Senior Quantity Surveyor, a Managing Quantity Surveyor or a Commercial Manager – key is that you have experience managing Quantity Surveyors.
You will have commercial refurb / fit out experience
You will have experience in the site based aspects of the role, including client meetings, contractual negotiations
