Reliable Contractors Ltd are currently looking for CSCS Carpenters to work on the EKFB HS2 project.

Minimum Competencies Required:

* CSCS Blue Skilled Card

Site Location – Brackley NN13.

Travel expenses will be included – Full time contract – 30 paid holidays per year – Upskilling provided – Long term project – Weekends will be available – Sunday: Double time – Saturday: First first 4 hours time and half and last 6 hours double time.

As a carpenter/joiner you will be involved in the design, cutting, and building of furniture using different types of wood.

The job role of a carpenter/joiner involves the following duties:

– Measuring, marking up, cutting, shaping, fitting and finishing timber
– Using a range of hand and power tools
– Installing floor joists, floorboards, roof trusses and wall partitions
– Conducting site surveys
– Creating design drawings, alongside sketches of the work needed and the specifications
– Measuring and marking wood according to technical designs
– Working with suppliers and sub-contractors
– Putting up frames for bridges, roads, dams and buildings
– Drawing and working with technical drawings
– Gaining knowledge of different types of wood and their uses
– Restoring historical buildings
– Carrying out jobs in dusty conditions, or working outdoors in all weather and at height.
