Business Development Manager – Modular Building Hire, Salary: Up to c£40k + Car, Uncapped Commission, Contributory pension. Field based role working out of Iver, Buckinghamshire.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Manager to work for one of the UK’s largest modular construction companies. The ideal candidate will have experience in a Business Development Manager / Regional Sales Manager / Area Sales Manager / Field Sales Executive capacity for a construction main contractor, modular contractor, a value building systems manufacturer or similar.
The purpose of the role is to identify and negotiate new business opportunities for modular building hire, from both existing and new client’s. Target both private and public sectors i.e health, education, retail, commercial, infrastructure, utilities etc.
Business Development Manager Key Duties;
Develop and maintain existing relationships to ensure advance knowledge of upcoming projects i.e. future pipeline.
Develop a pipeline of opportunities in both private and public sectors and own these through to successful conversion up to the point of handing over to the operations team.
Develop a strategy to grow market share in new sectors. Support this with analysis and research on Clients and what products would be required.
Build these new Client networks with the aim of securing new opportunities
Create opportunities for Sales Directors to attend high level meetings in support of business growth
Represent the company at trade shows and events
Candidate Requirements:
Experience in a Business Development Manager / Regional Sales Manager / Area Sales Manager / Field Sales Executive capacity for a construction main contractor, modular contractor, a value building systems manufacturer or similar
An established network of relevant construction or education industry relationships
In depth knowledge of the construction & education industries and project procurement options
Track record of success selling high value solutions
Strong drive towards achieving goals and proven track record of target achievement
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver a persuasive business message to Clients at a senior level
Able to listen to gain an intuitive understanding of Clients’ business objectives in order to pitch correctly
Able to prospect to hunt for new pipeline opportunities
