A private Approved Inspector seeks a permanent home-based Building Inspector to oversee varied residential developments in the vicinity of Milton Keynes and Bedford, ensuring Building Regulations and structural warranty compliance. Starting salary up to £55,000. Benefits include travel allowances, enhanced pension and private healthcare.

As a Building Inspector your role will involve:

Site inspections and surveys on projects that are either completed or under construction
Ensuring work is completed to a standard which complies with current regulations, technical manuals, and health and safety
Completing reports and documentation based on site findings
Frequent liaison with peers and management on technical matters

Building Inspector criteria:

Building Inspector experience of new build residential structures
Associate/full member status of RICS/CABE/CIOB/ICWCI preferred
Degree/ NVQ Level 6 qualified
An understanding of insurance principles
Full UK driving licence
