A home-based Building Inspector based in the vicinity of Aylesbury, Bicester, and Dunstable is sought by a national Approved Inspector. The inspector would utilise existing knowledge of Building Control or warranty standards throughout the residential development process. Salary of up to £54,000, enhanced pension and bonus structure.

The role would focus on the inspection of self-builds up to national housebuilder sites across the region at different stages of the build process with the aim of minimising risk and ensuring Building Regulations compliance as far as possible.

As a Building Inspector your role will involve:

Site inspections and surveys on projects that are either completed or under construction
Ensuring work is completed to a standard which complies with current regulations, technical manuals, and health and safety
Completing reports and documentation based on site findings
Frequent liaison with peers and management on technical matters

Building Inspector criteria:

Existing Building Control / Structural Warranty experience required
Associate/full member status of RICS/CABE/CIOB desirable
Degree/ NVQ Level 6 qualified surveyor in construction related discipline
Broad understanding of insurance principles
Technical inspection knowledge of new build residential sites from foundation to completion
Full UK driving licence
