Assistant Estimator
Due to an increase of projects my client is looking to add to their estimating team. As an Assistant Estimator you will be working closely with the team in order to build your experience and pave the way for a successful career
The ideal candidate will have just finished their degree and is looking to get into a stable permanent job with a Nationally recognised Contractor.
Duties may include:
Processing and interpreting enquiries from our clients and contributing to tender strategy
Carrying out material take-off's based on the drawings and bills of quantities that are contained within the enquiry.
Inputting the data into our costing template to allow tender quotations to be issued.
Liaising with our Company Buying Department and Estimating Team
Compiling, issuing and assessing sub-contractor and material enquiries, advising the Senior Estimator on best value.
Identifying potential tender clarifications. Maintain up to date understanding of Tender, reviewing and amending the tender based on feedback from the client clarifications.
Working closely with Tender Planner assisting them with information to produce tender programme.
Formulating BoQ using Causeway Estimating Package for Senior Estimator to review and populate, undertaking take-off as required by Senior Estimator.
Maintain an up to date knowledge of market rates, keeping up to date with current and new techniques
Visiting sites as required to assess tender requirements and understand best practice/lessons learned from successful tenders.
Contribute to the review of all tenders by senior leadership team prior to submission, including risk reviews. Assisting Senior Estimator in addressing outcomes of tender reviews prior to submission.
Assist Senior Estimator in producing a tender pack for handover to Operations, once tenders have been awarded.If this role interests you, please contact Connor on (phone number removed)
