Assistant Design Manager – Milton Keynes

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Design Manager to work on one of the UK’s flagship construction projects, delivering one of Europe’s latest high-speed rail projects.

Our client has been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link. The scope of the works includes 15 viaducts, 5km of green tunnels, 22km of road diversions, 67 overbridges and around 30 million cubic metres of excavation.

This is a truly unique opportunity where the successful candidate will be managing the design process and liaising between the design joint venture, local authorities and various landowners. You will be delivering design solutions posed by the track. Examples being the installation of bridges and other structures, roads and junctions etc. to facilitate landowners’ access to their land.

Experience:
• Process driven.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Experience using AutoCAD.
• Experience working as a Design Manager / Co-ordinator for a contractor.
• Beneficial – understanding of civil engineer and structures.
• IT Skills – Knowledge of MS Office.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to manage own workload.

• £45,000 basic salary (based on experience).
