This role is responsible for supporting the delivery of commercial activities within the Delivery teams. The role works alongside the supply chain and contractors to assurance and support commercial activities.
The ideal candidate would have NEC contract experience and contractual management experience (ideally on a major infrastructure project). Knowledge of UCR will also be useful in applications to this role. Rail experience not necessary, and we will consider candidates from a variety of backgrounds e.g Utilities, Nuclear, Energy, Oil & Gas, Aviation etc.
However, the role will be within the Procurement & Commercial Directorate, working on the commercial contractual management side of Phase 1 (central sector). This includes delivery of structures, embankments, viaducts etc (heavy civils works), thus candidates should have experience of working on contractual administration within the delivery phase of construction – heavy civils experience on a live construction project.
Accountabilities :
Pre-Contract
* To be responsible for supporting the development commercial works information, reviewing works information from other functions and drafting contract documents.
Procurement
* To be responsible for supporting the development of a contract management plan.
Post Contract
* To be responsible for supporting the delivery of contract management of the contracts to maintain effective commercial control.
* To be responsible for supporting the administration of the obligations of the Project Manager under the NEC3Contract.
* To be responsible for supporting the valuation of variations and compensation events.
* To be responsible for supporting contract payments assessment.
* To be responsible for supporting the review and analysis of supply chain monthly reports.
* To be responsible for supporting the input into contract level performance information into monthly MBR reports.
* To be responsible for supporting the settlement of supply chain disputes.
* To be responsible for supporting estimate reviews (at all stages)
