Excellent opportunity for an Architectural Technician looking to move to the next level of their career working for an award winning architectural practice that offer further mentoring and experience on a variety of interesting projects.
Our client is an established architectural practice with a varied portfolio in both private and public sectors with expertise in the design and construction of residential development, commercial, luxury housing, education, cultural, community and urban planning projects.
Currently the practice is involved in projects from high-end residential work to large mixed-use and commercial developments.
Main Role & Responsibilities
You will be working in a number of sectors, including high-end residential, mixed-use commercial & housing developments, student accommodation, and education projects.
You will be expected to work predominantly from RIBA stages 3 – 7, assisting the Project Leaders and Senior Technicians with the preparation of tender and construction packages, dealing with building regulation matters and contractors queries.
Required Skills & Experience
* At least 1 years’ professional experience as a Technician or Technologist
* Experience working on high-end residential projects would be advantageous
* The ability to demonstrate technical knowledge and construction detailing
* Experience working on RIBA stages 3-7
* Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills are essential for working with internal teams and external clients and consultants
* Proficient in the use of AutoCAD with Revit being useful but not essential
* 3D modelling experience using Sketchup
* Knowledge of UK building regulations
* Personal motivation and discipline to work independently as well as an aptitude for working within a team environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also vital for the role and applicants must be fluent in both spoken and written English
