A great opportunity has now arisen for a talented Architectural Technician / Technologist to join an award winning, design-led practice in North Buckinghamshire with the chance to work on a large variety of projects.
Our client is an established architectural practice with a varied portfolio in both private and public sectors; with expertise in the design and construction of residential development, commercial, luxury housing, education, cultural, community and urban planning projects.
Currently the practice is involved in projects from high-end residential work to large mixed-use and commercial developments.
Main Role & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will assist in the growth and expansion of the practice and their project portfolio. You will be working in a number of sectors, including high-end residential, mixed-use commercial & housing developments, student accommodation, and education projects.
You will be expected to work predominantly from RIBA stages 3 – 7, assisting the Project Leaders with the preparation of tender and construction packages, dealing with building regulation matters and contractors queries.
Required Skills & Experience
* 5 years’ professional experience as a Technician or Technologist
* Experience working on high-end residential projects would be advantageous
* The ability to demonstrate technical knowledge and construction detailing
* Must have experience working on RIBA stages 3-7 as a minimum; experience in all RIBA stages would be advantageous
* Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills are essential for working with internal teams and external clients and consultants
* An ability to carefully analyse problems in order to generate appropriate solutions
* Proficient in the use of AutoCAD with Revit being useful but not essential
* Strong 3D modelling experience using Sketchup
* Must have solid knowledge of UK building regulations
* Personal motivation and discipline to work independently as well as an aptitude for working within a team environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also vital for the role and applicants must be fluent in both spoken and written English
