About The Role
To be part of the Design and Engineering (D&E) team within EKFB, assisting the Rail Systems Interface, RAMS and Interoperability Manager on key accountabilities.
Key Accountabilities:
• Coordinating the Accesses Design to the High-Speed Railway platform for the Client’s Operation, Maintenance and Rail Systems needs. Making sure the requirements have been fulfilled by the Designers and help optimizing the design,
• Coordinating the Security of the High-Speed Railway between the Client (who owns the requirements) and the Security Specialist in the Design Team, responsible of the risks assessments including threat and vulnerability,
• Coordinating the Fencing design between the Client (who owns the requirements) and the Designers (e.g security fencing with different types depending on locations, boundary fencing, ecological fencing) and driving the design in links with wider EKFB teams (i.e. consents to get from stakeholders and other civil disciplines impacts),
• Coordinating ancillary items (e.g earthing system with close relation to the Client’s Railway Systems Contractors) if asked by the Manager,
• Providing strong support to the D&E team by ensuring that input, requirements and control change are in place and integrated with other Civils disciplines (e.g. alignment, earthworks, drainage, highways accesses),
• Maintain close liaison and collaboration with the teams, attending the Client, EKFB and Designers meetings.This role of Coordinator is expected to be routewide (C2 / C3 sections delivered by EKFB) and requires coordination with broader teams as civils design leads, interface managers, safety & security managers, configuration & assurance managers, construction managers and risk / assumptions managers.
About The Candidate
• Experience of working on design & build contracts in major civil engineering works (if possible, in railways),
• Some knowledge on fencing and security required,
• Good communicator, resilient, positive, confident, meticulous, autonomous, eager to work in a multicultural environment on a large-scale civil engineering project,
• Able to build working relationships, internally with D&E team and externally with the Client.
• IT skills – MS Office and (preferably) knowledge software related to interfaces (e.g Relatics),
• Experience/Qualifications/Training (if any):
• Engineering background (Degree in Civil Engineering or Rail Systems) with some experience to be able to undertake the role.
