Planner (Responsive Repairs)
Aylesbury
Salary £27, 822 Per Annum
Full time – 37 hours per week
The Vale of Aylesbury Housing Trust is a Buckinghamshire based housing association providing homes and services to local communities throughout the Vale of Aylesbury, we have around 7,200 homes. We pride ourselves on working closely with residents and surrounding communities to make sure we deliver high quality housing, homes and services. We are looking for a Planner to help us achieve our vision and goals.
The Role:
In relation to Responsive Repairs works to provide a comprehensive ‘one stop’ support service to our residents/customers, Operatives, contractors, external clients and suppliers.
Planner will resource manage and administer the delivery of the responsive repairs / voids maintenance services.
Lead in providing a seamless service to residents by scheduling resources to ensure that customers are given timely appointments within agreed priorities.
Continuously monitor and review performance delivery and make real time adjustments to work diaries to maximize the use of available resources, prioritising direct employed resources.
Liaise with residents/customers, Operatives and contractors to accurately raise works orders and appoint jobs as necessary. Provide administrative support services within the Responsive Repairs team.
Required Skills and Experience:
Information Technology literate with competency in the use of software packages including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Good planning and organisational skills including dynamic work scheduling
Be able to work to strict deadlines
Ability to work on his or her own initiative and as part of a team
Methodical approach to problem solving
Ability to multi-task across many disciplines and systems
Ability to work influence others in a variety of contexts
Basic knowledge of the Health and Safety at work Act
Confident in communicating with all levels of management and staff including client liaison, users and occupiers and able to negotiate with them regarding work timetables and estimated costs
Understand budgets. Monitoring to ensure maintenance of allocated spend; instituting corrective actions as directed in compliance with financial obligations
