Hooray is pleased to be working in partnership with an exiting and expanding charity who work to support young people with learning difficulties, mental health and emotional issues, young people leaving care and those at risk of offending or exploitation.
The successful candidate will specifically develop services and activities and opportunities for inclusion, community engagement and personal development for 17-25 year olds but can relate to younger age group too, with mental health or emotional needs in a community setting
Effectively lead your volunteers to deliver a high quality and effective transitions support project to young people with mental health and emotional needs to provide support, mentoring and befriending, alternative relationships and activities so as to encourage a positive trajectory, personal wellbeing and supportive place in the community.
Produce programmes, activity plans, brochures and publicity for the above, working with the rest of the team and engaging and involving our young beneficiaries.
Work closely with social services, schools and other referring agencies to help young beneficiaries maintain their new trajectory and support better personal outcomes.
Our client is seeking somebody who is honest, trustworthy and acts with integrity.
Can relate to young people aged 13-25 as well as their parents/carers.
You will have experience of working with vulnerable young people.
This is a part time position 25 hours a week
