About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Lead Rent Advisor to join our team.
On the Job you will:
To lead and manage the Rent Advisors to enable the delivery of a high quality, cost effective and customer focused service and in accordance with the Trust’s Strategic Objectives, Budget and Business Plan.
To provide a high quality, professional, responsive and customer focused service direct to the Trust tenants and other customers to ensure that rent accounts are controlled and managed proactively.
To ensure that the impact of welfare reform is minimised on the Trust and that robust actions to mitigate are established.
To influence and work collaboratively across the Trust and with external agencies to achieve the goals of the Trust and to ensure tenants maximize their income in order to meet their obligations to pay the rent.

About You
We’re looking for someone who understands how to connect with people and is great at leading a team to recover rent and arrears in a social housing setting.

You will ideally have skills and attributes that include:
Ability to lead, coach, motivate, supervise and develop staff
Commitment to high level customer service standard and company values, aims and ambitions
Capable of delivering results to tight deadlines when under pressure
Experience of managing staff in the housing department of a large RSL or local authority
Substantial knowledge and understanding of Housing Law in relation to arrears recovery and rent collection
An effective decision maker with strong prioritisation skills
Working knowledge of the Welfare Reform Act
Evidence of the ability to respond effectively and positively to change good communication,
you enjoy a challenging role,
like meeting new people and
are motivated to make a difference in the local community.
The minimum qualifications required are 5 GCSE’s grade C or above including Maths and English, and a professional qualification and membership of the Chartered Institute of Housing.
