About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced person to join our team.
We are the Vale of Aylesbury Housing Trust, we are responsible for providing safe homes to our residents in the social housing sector in Aylesbury and surrounding areas. We are looking to recruit an interim cover for our Health & Safety Assistant during maternity leave. This will start from 1st November 2021 for a minimum of 9 months.

On the Job you will:
The person should be energetic with genuine interest in health and safety with some understanding of property compliance preferred. Excellent IT skills ideally in outlook, excel and Microsoft word. Your main duties will be to support the Health, Safety & Compliance Manager, collate information, draft reports; attend meetings and take minutes, monitor the H&S email inbox and escalate urgent matters with your manager, gather compliance data from contract managers to update the compliance scorecard, liaise with all departments keeping them up to date with relevant information, processing purchase orders and invoices , recording and keeping accurate data up to date for reporting and statistical information, coordinating the delivery of annual vaccination programme. Monitor incidents and accidents, and support the investigations as needed, assist in policy and procedure reviews and designing templates for collecting data. This is great opportunity for someone who interested in a career in Health & Safety with some background looking to reinforce their understanding and exposure to Health, safety and compliance.
About You
We’re looking for someone who understands how to connect with people and is great at building strong relationships with other team members from other departments. A good listener and being able to pick up on key information whilst collecting performance data for compliance.

You will ideally have skills and attributes that include:
strong admin skills
good understanding /exposure to Microsoft office particularly excel, word and outlook

IOSH desirable
