Our client, is a public distance Learning & Research University and one of the biggest universities in the UK for undergraduate education.
They are looking to recruit an experienced Head of MIS & Compliance to provide vital support to the Apprenticeship BDU team. This role is to start asap for three months. This role is currently working from home and equipment will be supplied.
This role is paying between £22.00 – £28.00ph dependent on experience, working a 37hr week.
This role is to lead and be accountable for all Apprenticeship data and funding and management of associated systems.
Key responsibilities
Work closely with relevant Units within the OU to ensure all eligible funding for apprenticeship provision in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland is drawn down according to the systems and process required by the Education Skills and Funding Agency (ESFA) and other funding agencies. Ensure the accurate and timely submission of the Individual Learner Record (ILR) report to the ESFA.
Manage the OU relationship with the EFSA for funding purposes. Negotiate funding allocations, including developing business cases for funding growth requests, as required. Manage the commercial contracts for funding and any partnership and/or sub-contracting contracts. Monitor contractual performance in line with ESFA performance management rules.
Act as data owner for all data recorded in the University's Learner Management Information System (LMS) and Registration Portal ensuring timely, high quality data entry.Skills and Experience
A strong track record of leading teams to improve performance and quality
Experience of quality assurance, Ofsted inspections and ESFA compliance including the provision of high management information
Extensive knowledge of preparing and returning funding claims, funding regulations, systems and audit compliance, to ensure maximisation of funding allocation
Excellent working knowledge of government funded education contracts
