Role – Charity Project Co-Ordinator
Salary – £20,450 (Pro-Rata) – 20-25 Hours Per Week
Location – Central/North Hertfordshire – Working from Home
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join their growing team. Following project restructuring and Charity expansion, this person will co-ordinate the Central/North Hertfordshire Hub as part of the further development of their exciting innovative project, part-funded by BBC Children in Need & the Harpur Trust.
They are an exciting, growing charity currently working across Herts, Beds, Bucks & North London. Specifically, setup 6 years ago to address the needs of a 'lost generation' of 15-25-year old's. Needed more than ever, they work with young people with learning disabilities, mental health & emotional issues, young people leaving care and those at risk of offending/exploitation.
The ideal candidate for the role should have the following skills –
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Excellent computer literacy skills, including the use of internet and office-based platforms and applications (Including Word, Excel & Outlook)
-Excellent organisational skills, with a good eye for detail.
-A confident, friendly outgoing personality would be beneficial.
-The willingness to be the first point of contact for anything related to the project.
-A can-do approach, with the ability to team-lead and communicate effectively.
The key responsibilities for the role are as follows –
-Supporting 20+ young people who are at risk of Offending & those leaving care through a two-year transition programme
-Helping to develop stronger links with businesses and the wider community to create opportunities for young people.
-The ability to work sensitively and effectively with young people – Providing leadership and a quality response to the challenge for further developing the project.
-Working with schools, colleges, local authorities and employers, help directly recruit, deploy, manage and support a team of around 20-30 peer and adult volunteers.
