As Support Worker your duties are varied, you might support a resident to go to college, the shops, or a show in London, but as a guide the duties may include some support with personal care needs, as well as help to take part in a wide range of special interest and activities that support their health & wellbeing such as arts and crafts, watching footie, drama, or shopping trips. As a Support Worker, you will motivate the team and champion a positive culture within the service.
Whilst everyone here has epilepsy, and often a learning disability or mental/physical health needs, the people we support are individuals. Some will rely on you to get through the day. For some, you’ll simply make it more fun. Building strong bonds with their families and our wider team, our Support Workers soon start feeling like one of the family. It’s a rare privilege, and an opportunity to achieve your potential – whilst helping others to reach theirs too.
