About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Allocations and Lettings Advisor to join our Allocations and Lettings team. We are expanding our existing allocations and lettings team and we are looking for someone preferably with experience of allocations and lettings within the social housing sector but other relevant experience will be considered. The successful applicant will have an extensive working knowledge and experience of assessing and managing housing applications, setting up tenancies including furnished tenancies.
On the Job you will:
Continually monitor the Bucks Home Choice housing applications and change of circumstances applications.
Review any appeals made.
Process and monitor medical applications.
Carry out any administration related to the role.
Carry out mutual exchange visits/inspections, termination inspections, viewings and sign ups.
Manage shortlists and keeping applicants fully updated.
Set up tenancies on the Trust's database.
Carry out affordability assessments.
Work closely with local authorities to manage homelessness applications.
About You
We’re looking for someone who understands how to connect with people and who has strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively organise a busy and varied workload. You should be confident in dealing with emotionally distressing situations with good negotiation skills. Good IT skills are essential and the ability to process and understand statistical reports.
