As a member of Team Knead, you will have a passion for making hand-stretched Neapolitan pizzas (no dough rollers here!) and presenting your beautiful creations to the customer. We want someone who takes pride in their pizzas.

Knead is looking for a passionate, positive-thinking and experienced Head Pizza Chef to join our team in High Wycombe. This is not just a chef role – you will become a key member of the Knead family.

As Head Chef in this role, you will be expected to manage the kitchen to the highest standards and you will also have the freedom to create regular new specials in keeping with our Neapolitan style. On one condition – NO PINEAPPLE EVER!!! You will make dough fresh daily, using our Sunmix Queen, as well as order, manage and prepare all ingredients for our street food van as well the kitchen.

Key Requirements:

* Experience with stone base pizza ovens (gas or wood) is essential

* Valid food hygiene certificate is preferable

* An appetite to learn, reliable nature and an ability to work under pressure

* Being a good team player and a generally nice person with a positive attitude are also key – as is a passion for proper pizza!

Expectations:

* Managing kitchen team and helping to train new staff

* Making Neapolitan dough fresh daily

* Ordering and preparing ingredients from our trusted suppliers

* Managing stock effectively

* Responsible for the overall compliance of Health & Safety, and Food Safety

* Creativity – working to create beautiful monthly specials and other menu additions

Hours; approx. 40 – 45 per week, Wednesday to Sunday
