Here at Newstaff Employment Services we are recruiting for all level chefs for many event businesses based in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. These roles are working for some fantastic businesses including- Hotels, football stadiums, sporting events and weddings and conferences.
We offer some very competitive rates from £13.00- £20.00 per hour depending on the level you are, our clients offer some great opportunities and some offer ongoing work where needed. The best thing about this is you can pick the days you would like to work so let’s work together to get you some extra money!!!!
General list of duties-
Commis Chef-
Assisting Other Chefs in the kitchen
Helping With Deliveries and putting away of stock
Measuring Ingredients for the chefs to cook with
Preparing Meats and Vegetables
Assisting With Stock Rotation
Cleaning Stations in the kitchen
Chef De Partie-
To run and supervise any kitchen section to the required standards set by the Head Chef
To ensure all preparation of the designated section is complete and ready for each service
Ensure good stock and waste control is practised
Be responsible for the quality control of stock and prepared foods
Execute cooking to the expected high standard quickly and efficiently
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of designated section
Sous Chef-
Directing the food preparation process and delegating tasks
Cooking and preparing high quality dishes
Assisting the Head Chef to create menu items, recipes and develop dishes
Supervising all kitchen stations
Head Chef-
Controlling and directing the food preparation process
Approving and polishing dishes before they reach the customer
Managing and working closely with other Chefs of all levels
Requirements-
You will need a Food Hygiene Certificate
