Based in Volkswagen’s National Learning Centre at Wymbush, Milton Keynes, the successful applicant will join Volkswagen Group Warranty Processing Team. The team are responsible for reviewing and correcting warranty claims, authorising and processing goodwill claims, supporting Volkswagen’s Warranty Improvement Strategy and a number of additional warranty related requirements.
This specific role liaises with Retailers to ensure that any Paint & Body warranty claims are correctly submitted, authorised and managed. The role involves liaison with the VWG Retailer Network, liaison with the various VWG Head Offices and liaison with the independent paint inspection team.
About the role:
* Review and authorise vehicle condition reports submitted by the Volkswagen Group Authorised P&B repair network before authorising credit to ensure a manufacturing defect and that their reports are technically and financially accurate.
* Request any relevant dealer documentation in support of claim justification to safeguard Volkswagen Group UK Financial exposure. Condition reports to be initially assessed (e.g. review of photographs) by our team, and if necessary third party assessment will be organised.
* Ensure the correct repair work scopes are carried out and claimed correctly.
* Assess dealer performance by monitoring claims and report any suspicions to the Team Managers
* Ensure that any changes in policy and procedures are understood communicated to staff within the organisation and the Dealer network.
* Ensure that all work throughput is effective managed and contractual KPIs are achieved
* Assist in the resolution of warranty problems that arise within the dealer network and give guidance to internal staff on warranty related issues.
* To carry out any other relevant duties as requested by the Team Managers to ensure the effective performance of the Warranty Department
* Coach authorised repairer staff in the correct submission of warranty claims.
Candidate Specifications:
* Previous experience of Vehicle Manufacturer Warranty Processes obtained either in a Franchised Dealership of a Vehicle Manufacturer Head Office environment.
* Excellent understanding of vehicle technical repair processes, ideally supported by a formal technical qualification (mechanical or parts technical).
* Demonstrable computer literacy is a prerequisite for this position, with training supplied for the software packages to be used.
* Capability to show initiative and work without supervision.
* Detailed and accurate work ethos.
* Excellent verbal & written communications skills.
* Ability to work closely with others as part of a team.
Working Pattern:
* This is a permanent, full time position (40 hours per week)
* Home office days will be provided
* Volkswagen National Learning Centre, Milton Keynes. Candidates must be located within an hour to Milton Keynes.
