Validation Engineer

The Company:

Focus Group are pleased to be assisting this global vehicle charging company. My client is an ever-growing market leader in the electric vehicle (EV) solutions Sector!

The Role:

As Validation Engineer you will be responsible for testing of our clients home, public and fleet charging solutions. This will include rig design, build, test method development and execution.

You work with the Principal Validation Engineer to ensure the products are thoroughly tested for function, durability and robustness prior to launch.

The main duties and responsibilities in the role will include, but are not limited to:

* Rig design and build

* Test method development

* Test execution at Component, System and Vehicle Level.

The candidate:

You must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Validation Engineer, preferably in testing or lab based development environment.

* Knowledge electrical power testing

* Knowledge of Human Machine Interface (HMI) testing

* Knowledge of communications testing

* Experience developing electrical / electronic test rigs and fixtures

* Vector / Canalyser experience

* Programming skills (Preferably C or Python) to support development of automated test.
