Technical Trainer – BMW

About the role

Here at Babcock International we are looking to recruit a Technical Trainer to join our automotive training operation for BMW. In this role you will design, develop and deliver a broad range of technical training programmes within the bodywork training area.

Your duties will include:

To deliver technical and project-based training programmes
To have some responsibility for the design and development of new training materials/programmes to meet external commercial and project driven requirements.
To source and collaborate with external providers to develop a portfolio of technical training programmes/resources as required
To liaise with clients to establish their training requirements and customise existing programmes to client needs
To develop materials necessary for the delivery of new courses including: lesson plans, support materials,
Delegate handouts, visual aids, pre- and post-course materials and other relevant resources such as e-learning etc.
To update and maintain materials necessary for the delivery of existing courses including: lesson plans and support materials, delegate handouts, visual aids, pre- and post-course materials and other relevant resources such as e-learning etc.
To keep up-to-date with current learning practices and theories through reading, research and networking
To ensure training records and related paperwork and online systems are maintained and kept up-to-date within specified system, to meet the requirements of commercial customers
To attend meetings with clients as required and to keep abreast of new products and launches attending the manufacturer's factory as necessary

What do I need to do the role?

You'll need to have experience as an automotive body repair specialist who has worked extensively on the range of BMW vehicles, and would like to now utilise your skills and experience in a training role.

Would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:

Automotive training experience (highly desirable)
Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office software, to include PowerPointLastly, you'll need to be Hybrid qualified to a minimum of level 2, ideally level 3.

What else do I need to know?

The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
