UK Autoline Support Manager
The Systems / Autoline Support Manager is responsible for the team who operate and develop the Autoline Dealership Management System (DMS, our ERP system otherwise known as Kerridge) for the Inchcape UK business. We run our business on this system, so this is a key role. The UK Autoline Support Manager has line management responsibility for the Autoline Support Team.
Previous system management experience is essential; experience with Autoline and/or Unix an advantage. We are looking for the right person to manage requests and queries from users, to tenaciously seek out solutions when problems arise (by communicating with product specialists within the company, at the supplier and with third party support companies) and to manage the small support team. Product training will be provided as required. This is a full time, permanent position based in our Milton Keynes office, but with a significant amount of home working.
Main Responsibilities
* Support for the Autoline DMS system, aiming to ensure the availability and smooth operation of the system at all times
* Managing the Support Team: workload administration and planning for the team for support tasks, projects and ongoing improvements; objective setting; mentoring, training and developing staff
* Managing external suppliers / consultants: workload administration and planning for external suppliers/consultants for support tasks, projects and ongoing improvements; raising requests, approving quotes, managing timescales
* Parameter and Report Changes: ensuring all changes and exceptions are documented, tested and rolled out according to the Inchcape global i-Power framework
* System Changes: ensuring all changes, mostly applied as patches by the system supplier, Keyloop, are documented, rolled-out and controlled using the agreed processes
* DMS Changes: e.g. parameter changes, report changes, updating KPrint templates and forms, updating printers and rules, maintaining links to third party systems, creating printers, spoolers and ftps
* Providing Data: providing data extracts to the business the KCML report generator and export facilities. Ensuring all reports and extracts are efficient and providing data in the best format
* Liaison with Global Teams: Inchcape is a global business, the manager is responsible for ensuring that all environments are compliant with the group’s standards (GSIP), that menus and permissions are correct, monitoring and fixing any mismatches, and meeting all audit requirements
* Producing Monthly Performance Statistics: showing job volumes and completion rates.
The Ideal Candidate
* Excellent management skills: organisation, planning, time management, people management
* Good communication skills: able to work closely with colleagues, suppliers, partners, etc on a professional basis
* Experience in IT software support and testing
* Experience and proven success in change management, including weekly CAB meetings with suppliers and wider teams. Managing regular software upgrades, including coordination, testing and documentation
* Managing support teams, including performance management, staff training and development
* Managing external suppliers, including getting estimates, approving quotes, driving projects, escalating issues
* A good working knowledge of GDPR
* Knowledge of the Autoline DMS, including KPrint, KCML and Format Stationery would be an advantage
* Experience in Service-now, Jira and Trello would be an advantage
* Great attention to detail with a continual focus on quality
* Good problem-solving skills and ability to self-manage
