Job Title – Senior Injection moulding Process Engineer

£ 40,000 – £ 50,000 p.a.

As a Senior Injection moulding Process Engineer your day to day responsibilities will consist of;

Technical support int the development and implementation of new products into manufacture, support these through life-cycle and continuously develop manufacturing process to improve efficiency, cost and yield.

Develop and maintain auxiliary tooling and equipment specifications relevant to the processing of new and existing components.

Carry out tooling and processing trials as required for new products, equipment and materials as determined by project timing plans and operational requirements, maintaining accurate and specific documentation to enable efficient and effective handover to production.

Actively seek out and pursue cost reduction opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives to deliver results

Conduct process audits to ensure that best practice is fully implemented and maintained within the manufacturing environment.

Develop and implement sustainable tool preventative/predictive maintenance standards to ensure optimization of tool performance.

Provide process and operational training to operators, Moulding Technicians and support staff to develop and maintain levels of competence within the Company.

Support the 5S approach by developing and maintaining Mould Shop standards and people.

Mentor staff and pro-actively assist the development of all improvement activities in all areas.

Support the Supervisor and team with escalated concerns relating to tool/equipment breakdowns and technical rectification.

Support the Supervisor and team with escalated concerns relating to defects and scrap concerns within the zone.

An exciting opportunity for Experienced Senior Injection moulding Process Engineer with the following;

Extensive technical Injection moulding process experience including tool and process optimisation

Experience leading Tooling trials and in tool development

HNC/HNC/NVQ Level 3 qualification in Polymer processing / injection moulding or equivalent.
