Remarketing & Cost of Ownership Specialist
Milton Keynes – part remote.
Up to £45,000 plus company car and excellent benefits.
As Remarketing & Cost of Ownership Specialist, you will support the company vehicle remarketing, used car programmes and the cost of ownership function ensuring the positive positioning of products in the marketplace – maximising sales, profitability, and broadening the appeal of the brand.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Support the Remarketing & CoO Manager in a root and branch analysis of current CoO capability within the business, liaising with Fleet, After Sales, Product Marketing, external suppliers, and other stakeholders identified through this process
Provide data driven input to the resulting COO framework that can be rolled-out across all operational areas of the automobile division, allowing relevant staff to understand the strategy and to define position against similar competitor products in the marketplace
Distil and analyse market and product performance data to support positive residual value discussion with various stakeholders and suppliers
Monthly collation and submission of used vehicle car sales data to all relevant trade guides, looking at ways of improving the accuracy and automation of transfer
Manage the preparation of electronic auctions, collating a prime mix of vehicles, accurately pricing against CAP Black Book (and other guides) and considering relevant background market factors
Manage corporate demonstrator fleet, maintaining utilisation and fleet mix at targeted levels; liaising with Contract Hire & Leasing field team & National Fleet Sales Manager
Ensure 'on-fleeting' of new Corporate Demonstrator vehicles and de-fleet of returned vehicles into the remarketing process
Skills and experience
Experience of Used car / Remarketing / Cost of Ownership from an OEM or National Leasing Company is essential
Commercial acumen with knowledge and experience of crucial business functions within leasing, used car and remarketing
Broad understanding of relevance of CH&L & end of life vehicles
Solid working knowledge of relevant used car and cost of ownership tools (ie Gold book / Black book/ Maint. book), as well as a detailed understanding of residual values, finance products, cost of ownership methodology and Remarketing
Results driven and able to manage a number of projects simultaneously working to individual deadlines
Confident in discussing complex data with internal stakeholders and external suppliers – able to breakdown detailed information and explain in simple terms to individuals where required
Excellent literacy, numeracy, and proven IT skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Flexibility in line with business requirements, including availability to travel and to cover the UK & IRL
