Release Engineer required on a contract basis to join an industry leading engineering and manufacturing business.
You will coordinate the design and development activities for engineering assignments including products, parts, components, systems or portions of major projects.
Currently this role is 100% working remotely but candidates will be expected to be onsite once every fortnight.
Key responsibilities:
Generate Change notes from Change requests raised by commodity engineers / owners, up revise parts and setup release process.
Investigate and check Windchill BOM and Excel BOM are aligned – Excel being phased out / reduce dependency.
Provide support to other non-engineering teams with using Windchill to reduce dependency on excel BOMS. (Basic how-to guidance)
Produce / maintain top level assemblies in Creo – knowledge and use of skeleton model / location plains / datums advantageous.
Work with Commodity owners to setup models with new datums as and where needed.
Raise issues with commodity owners of part clashes / CAD assembly issues when needed.
Support design review meetings with CAD presentation. Experience required:
Windchill/Creo PTC experience required (further training can be provided on specific setup)
Engineering background required
Familiarity with product design life cycle (PLM)
Self-motivation, time management and proactive prioritisation essential
