Prototype assembly technician required on a contract basis to join an industry leading engineering & manufacturing business.
Do you have a background working in a fast paced prototype assembly / build environment? Have you got experience working in a product development production / manufacturing environment? If you are seeking an exciting challenge then this is the contract role for you!
You will play a key role in the build and assembly tasks ensuring high quality is maintained while achieving agreed cycle times to meet agreed operations build plans.
You will be responsible for working as part of an effective production team manufacturing prototype high voltage batteries, electrical harnesses and associated subassemblies in a shop floor environment. This role involves operating various machines as well as hand and power tools on a production line.
Key responsibilities:
Build & assembly of high voltage batteries for various applications.
Harness build & assembly
Build & assembly of mechanical and electrical prototype parts
Read and understand technical drawings & build manuals
Carry out inspection and tests of manufactured componentsExperience required:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
Experience working on mechanical assemblies
Good interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
Ability to maintain a high quality of output
Experience using hand and power tools
Flexible approach to work schedule and to assist in production assembly build plan
Proactive approach towards health and safety
Ability to read and understand technical drawingsDesirable
Experience with high voltage applications
Experience with electrical components build and assembly process
Experience of working on and understanding of production lines.
Understanding of electrical components, and their functionality
Understanding of High Voltage working environments
