Job title: Paint Preparation Technicians
Job location: Milton Keynes
Hourly pay rate: £17-19 Umbrella an hour
Shifts: Morning 6am until 2pm and then 2pm until 10pm rotating
Hours per week: 50-60 hours a week available
Start date: ASAP
Are you an automotive paint preparation technician looking for a new career.? Would you like to work within the rail/rolling stock industry? Working Mornings and Afternoons on a rotating basis for between 12 months up to 2 years' worth of work.

Client Summary:
My client based in the rolling stock industry have a heritage of major contracts behind them, a track record in restoring railway carriages with turnkey technology. They are currently working on a project restoring class 323 & 165 vehicles which includes upgrading the complete interiors and underframe of the vehicles. The modernisation of these vehicles includes the interior strip out and refit of rolling stock carriages, which relates to all aspects of the vehicle.

Job Summary:
We have an opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Paint Prepper to join a large rolling stock company, to work within the masking area.
You will need to have polishing or prepping experience to be successful in securing this position, and we can offer an immediate start.
Job Details: Paint Prepper
· Experience of working in the body shop, vehicle refurbishment or accident repair industry – Prep-ping rolling stock vehicles to be painted.
· Prep vehicles to a very high standard ensuring to ensure paint is applied properly
· The role will involve, sanding down panels using different grades of paper
· Apply primer and filler
· Masking rolling stock carriages vehicles up ready for paint, prime and filling damaged panels
· You will be qualified with a NVQ qualification or have a good level of relevant experience
· You must have experience as a vehicle prepper to be successful in this role
Job Experience: The Successful Paint Prepper will have:
· Experience of working in a vehicle prepper role
· Ideally prepping within an accident repair centre or vehicle refurbishment business
· Relevant Vehicle prepper qualifications desirable but not essential
· A working knowledge of H&S responsibilities
· Skilled Vehicle prepper background is essential
