National Expansion Manager – Milton Keynes
The Company:

Over the course of 10 years, our customer has established itself as the market leader in electric vehicle charging, providing solutions for EV drivers to charge at home, at work and on the road. On their mission to make charging fast and hassle-free, their charging points have been used over 30 million times to enable around 200 million miles of zero tailpipe emission driving.
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of National Expansion Manager. This a newly created role within our clients Growth Team and a successful applicant will be responsible for leading the growth of our clients EV Ride Hailing Charging Hubs network across major cities in the UK – building the offer to serve urban professional drivers and fleets (taxis, last mile delivery, etc.)
The scale of our client’s ambition is 174 hubs by 2025.
The aim of the role is to lead E2E project delivery, coordinate the work of all the workstreams and ensure timely delivery of individual projects.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
* Accountable for managing the program rollout to deliver 174 sites across UK by 2025.
* Leads the implementation coordinating and managing all workstreams (Land Appraisal, Feasibility, Detailed Design, Construction, Handover and Operations) working closely with FM&S teams ensuring safe and reliable delivery of new hubs against timelines and within budget.
* Streamline work across different teams and work hand in hand with our clients assets, marketing, surveying and mobility scale-up (build & install) teams progressing program implementation
* Works with finance teams, manage the investment process, by creating commercial evaluations of locations based on customer and financial data and defining prioritisation of investments for review by the Land Appraisal Forum.
* Working with our clients legal team, DNOs, ICPs and oversee negotiations of leases and other required contracts with host locations
* Recommend site prioritization ensuring most optimum network footprint
* Work closely with external parties and lead commercial negotiations necessary to secure the project
* Work with our clients Marketing team to build synergies from joint marketing activities with partners to drive fleet customer acquisition
* End responsible for the successful launch of new charging hub sites across the UK
* Lead required operational and project meetings and provide regular up-dates on program status’s to Head of Expansion, Senior Manager Fleet Charging Hubs and Senior Leadership
Knowledge & Experience:
* 5-8 years’ experience in program management ideally with focus on all or some of the following: retail network expansion, construction project management, negotiating and contracting related activity
* Experience in business development with strong relationship mindset ideally in retail, real estate or other customer facing business
* Experience in creating partnerships and synergies among businesses is highly desirable
* Stellar interpersonal and stakeholders management skills
* Expertise in complex multi-party negotiations
* Understanding of EV eco-system, key value drivers as well as technical and digital requirements is an advantage
* Experience evaluating contracts and defining commercial propositions which optimise value for the company
* Drive for excellence and hands on personality
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years Commercial experience as an Expansion Manager. The National Expansion Manager will focus on further expanding the networks across the UK (expanding in London, entering in Manchester and Birmingham, discovery in Leeds and Liverpool) and manage the performance of the hubs and daily operations.
The Location:
The role is based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. Whilst primarily office based be prepared to travel throughout the UK in the course of executing duties (up to 25-30% if needed).
Salary: Up to £70k plus great benefits including contributed pension scheme, 25 days + 8 days bank holidays + EV leasing scheme (once successfully completed probation)
