Description
As the Multi-Skilled Engineer you will be carrying out reactive and preventative maintenance, working with the production team to minimise down time. You will be fault finding electrically and mechanically, getting to the root cause and advising the operational team of expected periods of down time.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide hands-on technical assistance not exclusively of an electrical nature in maintenance, installation, commissioning, fault-finding & de-commissioning of plant & equipment
Reactive maintenance & assistance in the resolution of equipment & plant malfunctions, carry out fault-finding repairs & refurbishments
Develop and refine local operating procedures to maximise efficiency and minimise waste (scrap, re-work and unplanned inspection).
Train operators in the safe operation of equipment and promote up-skilling.
Develop and maintain process and plant efficiency and utilisation measures to use as a tool for continuous improvement.
Continuously strive to eliminate and reduce waste of any kind within the manufacturing process, scrap, re-work and consumables.
Develop and implement planned maintenance of jigs, fixtures, plant and other equipment to minimise efficiency losses to production whilst carefully controlling costs.
Assist in the integration of new plant and equipment into the production environment.
Set and strive to improve housekeeping standards through the use of the 5S approach.Working Hours: 14:45 – 23:00pm (Permanent Late Shift)
Profile
A Multi-Skilled Engineer with experience within a manufacturing environment, or someone who has a few years experience looking to take that next step up in their career & the following:
A recognised Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship/C&G Electrical/HNC/HND or equivalent)
17th Edition
PLC experience – Fault finding & programming
Robotic programming (Desirable)
Injection moulding machining experience (Desirable)
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work in a team & on your ownJob Offer
Circa £33,000 + 20% Shift Premium
