Logistics Specialist Contract Milton Keynes

We are currently looking for a Logistics Specialist for one our major clients in Milton Keynes on a 12month contract basis (opportunity to term perm after 12months).

The Logistics Specialist will need to have the capability to manager shipments in a small logistics area and this will need to be hands-on not just admin. The Logistics Specialist will manager outgoing goods to sister company, source packaging for dangerous goods and ship test products.

The successful Logistics Specialist will have be responsible for :
* Develop planning system strategies to improve signals to the supply chain
* Monitor and adjust parameters in the planning system.
* Use common processes tools, and information systems.
* Analyze and interpret Key Performance Indicators to identify areas for improvement and action plans.
* Execute the daily operational logistics processes
* Identify potential supply chain failures and mitigate associated risks
* Work closely with stakeholders to develop short term tactical improvements.
* Use the logistics system to drive consistent planning signals across the supply chain
* Participate in functional process improvement teams

The successful Logistics Specialist will have the following experience:
* Have ADR training and experience
* Knowledge of Batteries and dangerous goods packaging
* DGSA
* Forklift truck license and-Driving license
