Key Account Manager – Electric Powertrain – UK £46,500 – £50,000 circa + Competitive Benefits package
Unknown recruitment is seeking a Key Account Manager – Electric Powertrain to join our client who’s a leading Tier 1 supplier. Key Account Manager – Electric Powertrain role:
We are looking for a Senior Key Account Manager to join our team within the Electric Powertrain Business Unit, responsible for product life cycle, dealing with UK and Scandinavian based customers.
Current JLR account ~16 mils EURO pa needs a high degree of attention to close difficult commercial issues – requires bridging between customer and Japanese Ops Team. Ability to close difficult commercial issues with data and credibility.
In the mid-term (1-2 years) this individual will build upon the JLR Account and other premium brands in the UK and Scandinavia – as sales grow so will the individual’s leadership responsibilities.
Key Account Manager – Electric Powertrain responsibilities:
* Key Account Management for OEM customers (JLR, Volvo, Scania, Aston Martin, McLaren, etc.)
* Developing new business opportunities and maintaining current projects
* Customer marketing (roadshows, benchmark) / Represent company during presentations to customers
* Leading information flow by coordination and collaboration with departments, international project teams and the customers
* Lead, coordinate and collaborate with other functional teams (such as Project Management, R&D, Industrial, Controlling) to drive the Request for Quotations (RFQ) process
* Change management and price strategy for projects in development and production
* Contract review (RFQ, Quality and Logistic requirements)
* Ability to deep dive into cost models and defend company in credible databased negotiations
* Support plants with their customer relationships as well as responsible for customer satisfaction and problem solving
* Align with and support Global Head of JLR Account
* Some travel will be required to build customer relationships
Key Account Manager – Electric Powertrain requirements
* Ideally hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent, Master’s degree)
* Languages: Very good working knowledge of English is must, other languages such as Italian, German, Norwegian and Swedish are a plus
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
* Extensive experience in automotive sector electronics preferred
* Demonstrated experience successfully leading change management
* High degree of self-motivation and energy
* Willing and able to travel within the domestic region and to international locations as needed
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with others in a matrix management structure
* Ability to collaborate globally and cross-functionally with individuals in a wide variety of disciplines and backgrounds and build strategic relationships
* Demonstrated ability to mentor individuals in leading, as well as functioning in a cross-functional
* environment
* Ability to drive execution to meet business objectives and exceed profit plans
* Team player, who can interrelate and operate effectively with peers and other associates within a collegial, yet demanding, work environment
* Have high integrity, a positive attitude, and has demonstrated passion for achieving business objectives and future growth plans
