Are you seeking a temporary part-time, and predominantly home based, HR Assistant position in the Milton Keynes or Bedford area?…are you available for 4 – 5 hours per day, Monday – Friday, for the next 3 – 4 months?
With its offices based on the outskirts of Milton Keynes, this leading research and development organisation wishes to appoint a temporary, part-time HR Assistant that will work mainly from home and support the HR Manager with a number of day to day duties and additional projects.
Reporting to HR Manager, you’ll work with the wider team to ensure that HR policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to, while maintaining records and acting as point of contact for general HR based queries.
In this broad ranging part-time HR Assistant role, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;
* Providing dedicated HR administration support across the business
* Producing employment contracts, offer letters and other related documentation
* Maintaining personnel files
* Database administration, ensuring accurate and up to date records
* Administering absence, maternity, paternity and other appropriate processes
* Query resolution
* Liaising with recruitment suppliers and arranging interviews
* Ad-hoc reporting
As part-time HR Assistant, and either currently studying for Diploma/Certificate in HR Practice or seeking to do so in the future, you’ll be a comfortable team worker, with strong organisational skills and excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
With some existing knowledge of HR processes/practises and a basic appreciation for employment law, you’ll also possess good all-round knowledge of MS Office products, i.e. Word, Excel, along with email and internet.
On offer is a salary of c£25,000 – £26,000 per annum, though pro rata for 20 hours per week, spread evenly over 5 days.
Occasional visits to the office may be required from September onward, but these will minimal and a laptop computer and associated equipment will be provided at the outset
