The Role
We currently have an opportunity for HGV Driver/Service Attendant to join our Customer Service Team based in Milton Keynes.
Our Service Team is a proactive team of professionals from different automotive backgrounds, working to provide the best level of service, whilst ensuring our vehicles are well-equipped and prepared for our customers. The team is responsible for cleaning, valeting and refueling the rental vehicles delivering an efficient and safe vehicle service function at the location.
The role of HGV Driver/Service Attendant is to ensure that trucks are collected and delivered to the clients on time. Additionally, you will prepare the rental vehicles for the clients by cleaning and valeting them and you will make sure that vehicle related documentation is prepared.
This would be an ideal role for a class 1 driver who would like to make the transition from being 100% on the road to a more depot based position.
You will work a rotating shift as follows:
Shift 1: 06.00 – 16.00
Shift 2: 08.00 – 18.00 (45 hours per week)
Other duties will include:
* Perform vehicle driving duties including collection and delivery and take vehicles for MOT tests
* Adhere to all Company Health and Safety and Security Policies at all times
* Preparation of rental vehicles by cleaning and valeting
* Refueling of vehicles and the checking of Ad blue levels
* Preparing vehicle-related documentation
* Carry out Vehicle Service 'Ten Point Check
* Carry out pre-MOT test
* Washing of vehicles
* Develop and maintain high levels of customer service by being courteous and providing first class service customers and drivers when visiting site
About You
Essential Qualifications
* Good standard of numeracy and literacy as you will be entering information onto a tablet
* Class I Driving Licence (HGV OR LGV)
* Practical experience in a customer focused and engineering environment would be advantageous
Desirable Qualifications
* Previous experience involving vehicle technology
