Head of Finance & Control – Sales & Marketing
Also Known as: Head of Controlling
The primary function of this role is to lead, inspire, motivate and direct the Sales and Marketing business control team including sales administration and support. Overseeing all activities, providing the UK Sales Director with insight, aiding decision-making processes and supporting the organisation whilst working with the departmental Directors/Managers to maximise the performance of their departmental functions. Ensuring the correct balance between control and support.

Lead, manage and coordinate the control operations
Lead quantitative and qualitative analytical work that unlocks business insights and drives sound decision making on key business issues, inclusive of market development
Proactive challenge overall business performance and initiate improvement proposals to smarter, cost effective support and implementation models that challenge status quo
Supervise external and internal audit processes
Coordinate month end, all departmental budgets, projections, and forecasting activities

Manage the Control Team Operations
Ensure that the control team is performing and delivering on set targets and deadlines
Lead the development of standard controlling practices and processes to deliver excellent governance, lean and automated processes
Create new frameworks and structures to fill gaps in current set up
Ensure that there is an organisation and necessary resources, competence and facilities to fulfil and uphold set strategies and targets
Secure that the control team:
Support the operations in reporting related issues
Provide internal customers with standard presentations as well as ad hoc analyses on demand
Ensure accurate and timely reporting
Act as experts with analytical responsibility for different business segments
Ensure compliance in reporting standards
Maintain and develop necessary calculation models
Establish and uphold a meeting structure where operations are managed, and information is exchanged
Ensure daily steering procedures are applied
Ensure that the department works together with other departments to achieve common business objectives
