Health & Safety Adviser

Milton Keynes

£35,000 – 45,000

We have an exciting opportunity for a pro-active, enthusiastic individual to join our organisation as a Health and Safety Adviser. As Health and Safety Adviser, you will report to the Director of People and work closely with our external consultants to develop and implement a refreshed health and safety strategy. This is an exciting prospect for you to advance your career with a reputable, industry-leading commercial vehicle dealer with a view to progressing to senior level.

Day to day responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Being critical to supporting the growth of the management system, providing solutions to Health and Safety challenges faced across the organisation
Development and review of risk assessments and safe systems of work for our core operational activities as well as our non-routine business
Monitoring of the accident / incident reporting system with investigations undertaken as required
Completion of site audits and inspections across our depots and customer sites within the UK
Working with our training department to develop and deliver health and safety courses
Working closely with our external Health and Safety consultants to provide cohesive and accurate advice to the business, in line with current Health and Safety legislation
Consulting with the workforce and Senior Management on Health and Safety matters

About you:

Relevant and recent experience in a similar Health and Safety role
Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate with a view to work towards a Diploma level qualification
TechIOSH membership is desirable but not essential
Experience within the automotive or logistics sector is advantageous but not essential
Full UK Driving License is essential with Nationwide travel required
