Field Operations Manager – Automotive (Mobile – south of Birmingham to south coast)

About Our Client
My client is a Global Fleet Engineering Company, one of the biggest in the UK and the World, suppling specialist automotive vehicles in Aviation, Haulage and Maritime.
Purpose of the role:
To provide direct support to all Advanced Technicians and Mobile Service Engineers.
To provide support to the Head of Aftermarket.
To carry out ongoing reviews of regional teams in conjunction with Advanced Technicians and carry out actions accordingly
To review and manage costs relating to field service operations.
To monitor engineer productivity and implement any required actions.
To ensure that acceptable levels of customer satisfaction are achieved by engineering technicians deployed by my client to customers sites and are trained to the highest standard.
To provide effective customer service and build relationships with both internal and external customers.
Provide technical support for all engineers and service administration staff.
To ensure quality assurance and health and safety policies are implemented and adhered to at all times.
To carry out regular review meetings with customers.
Support all members of the service department to facilitate and resolve any customer issues.
To carry out ongoing PDP’s with all engineers to identify skill gaps and future training plan
Monitor resource levels in each area in line with product volumes and carry out recruitment plan as required following agreement with Head of Aftermarket
Skills & Qualifications required:
High attention to detail, without sacrificing on quality.

The ability to work to tight deadlines, under pressure and with a sense of urgency.
Communications skills, both verbal and in writing, together with the ability to communicate at all levels.
Interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships.
Ability to manage own workload independently prioritise tasks.
Self-motivational with the ability to challenge the status quo, and research and offer suggestions for problem solving.
Knowledge of current road traffic law/legislation.
Ensure high standards of preventative maintenance and repairs are actioned in line with manufacturers’ recommendations/instructions and our Safe System of Work procedures.
Knowledge of latest diagnostic systems.
City and Guilds Level 3 – Vehicle Mechanical and Electronic Systems – Maintenance and Repair Qualification or equivalent qualification.
To demonstrate substantial experience in electrical fault diagnosis and resultant repairs, including the use of electronic diagnostic equipment. To include working experience of a range of heavy goods / specialist vehicle.
UK valid driving licence.
What's on offer:
38.75 per week – Monday to Friday Days – 8.30am to 5pm
£42,500 per annum + Company Van / Pick Up + Fuel Card
Pension: 6% employer, 5% employee,
25 days holiday (plus statutory),
death in service 3x annual salary,
Company sick pay scheme on passing 6 month probationary.
