Our Client is one of the World leaders in the manufacture and Tier 1 supply of high-technology Electronic and Infotainment products for the Automotive manufacturing sector. A new exciting job opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

Reporting into the Director, this role sits as part of the Management team consisting of 4 other Managers, and would see you being responsible for a team of 18 Engineers and 3 Consultants. This is a fast paced role and will be dealing with high pressure projects, therefore someone who has previously been exposed to this type of environment is essential.

On offer to the successful applicant will be a negotiable, but highly competitive basic salary, together with a full benefits package and bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

-As a key member of the Management team you will be responsible for leading the Engineering Group consisting of a team of Project Managers, Mechanical Engineers, Electrical and Systems Engineers and Test Engineers.

-You’ll be involved in ensuring and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the Engineering Group.

-You will be in-charge of configuring the interfaces of the Engineering Group inside and outside Company Automotive Sales.

-You’ll be involved in the representation of Automotive Sales towards the customer with respect to Engineering.

Qualifications and Experience ideally required:

-Should ideally be qualified with a related Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Business Engineering Degree, better still be Master’s Degree qualified, although lesser qualifications and plenty of relevant experience will also be considered.

-You should be an accomplished Engineering Manager with a strong Automotive manufacturing background, skilled in managing engineering departments and leading projects.

-You should ideally have a strong understanding and experience of Automotive Human Machine Interfaces (HMI).

-Technical experience in Infotainment and/or Automotive Electronic products is a distinct advantage.

-You will be experienced in APQP, PPAP, 8D Reporting and FMEA.

-You will be skilled in MS-Office, MS Project Professional / WebAccess and ideally have knowledge of CAD software, Data and Content Management Systems, CAQ Software etc.
