Job description
Zipp Mobility is looking for a Route Operator to serve as one of our on-the-ground providers of electric scooter services to the Buckinghamshire public! The Route Operator will manage the delivery to local drop locations and/or retrieval of Zipp’s scooters, swap batteries and perform basic maintenance on the scooters. This role is physically demanding. It will suit you if you like physically moving a lot during your shift. It will be fast paced and fun for the right candidate.
Role and Responsibilities
* Deployment and retrieval of scooters
* Use mobile application to locate and manage scooters operations
* Standard Quality Control checks during the retrieval of scooters and identify repairs/maintenance needed to local operations.
* Other duties/tasks as assigned
Requirements
* Ability to ride a scooter & bike/electric bike
* Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle record
* Ability to regularly and repeatedly lift heavy scooters (they weigh 30kg+)
* Ability to work morning and/or late evenings
* Ability to work weekends
* Ability to work alone
* Fluent English
* At least 23 years of age – this is due to our van insurance policy only.
* At least 2 years with a full driver's license – this is due to our van insurance policy only
* Interested in micromobility and sustainability
* Great positive attitude and willing to work, interact, and represent Zipp Mobility.
Preferred Skills
* Knowledge of local area and street layout
* Trailer pulling experience
