Compliance Assistant
Up to £24k + bonus + excellent benefits package
Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
We have an exciting opportunity to join the award winning Legal and Compliance Team as a Compliance Assistant. You will be based at our newly built support centre in Milton Keynes with an ability to work remotely for some of the week.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities
You will work with the existing members of the Legal and Compliance Team to implement and ensure FCA compliance within business operations as Scania expands its operations to become an FCA regulated business. You will work under supervision to apply for and maintain FCA authorisation status. You will work with the business to ensure compliant processes and procedures are adopted and maintained. Key responsibilities include:
Assisting in the preparation of all FCA application documents
Reviewing FCA requirements with business managers to ensure processes and procedures are in place to align with FCA requirements.
Preparing any necessary documentation and audit requirements.
Delivering training to the business in respect of FCA requirements.
Reviewing all advertisements and customer offerings to ensure compliance.
Ensuring complaints are appropriately managed.
Candidate Requirements
The Legal and Compliance Team requires someone who is resilient, autonomous and who will demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the business and function well within the proactive enthusiastic team.
Education and/or Experience
As a minimum, the successful candidate must have:
An LLB or equivalent degree in business/law or similar.
Appropriate knowledge and experience in a Legal or in-house environment.
Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Practical and business minded approach.
Experience working in an office environment (preferably in a legal/compliance context)
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
