I am currently searching for a Compliance and Governance Lead on behalf of a financial services industry body. This is an autonomous position, responsible for operational and financial management of governance, compliance and providing legal best practice.

As a result of consistent success and in-line with plans for further growth, this role will drive innovation and strategy behind members' compliance with industry regulatory obligations.

You'll need to be well-versed in legal guidelines and corporate governance best practices with a certain commercial acumen. A professional of high ethical standards, you will be diligent in observing the aims and objectives of the organisation in order to preserve their high standard of professionalism and fairness.

We are looking for a pragmatic individual with a legal background, ready to take a step up into, perhaps their first, leadership position.

Ideally, you'll have experience of compliance within an automotive or financial services setting.

You'll need:

Proven experience in a legal, compliance and or regulatory environment
A degree in in law, finance, regulatory or related field
Certified compliance qualifications are an advantage (FCA, CONC)
