MSX International are currently recruiting for an experienced Automotive Technical Field Engineer to join our client's team in South Buckinghamshire. As this is a field-based role, the successful candidate will be required to travel nationally and occasionally internationally.
What will I be responsible for?
Joining our team as an Automotive Technical Field Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing the aftersales technical strategy across the UK network & internal functions (Port of Entry & PR/Fleet). On a day-to-day basis, your role will involve:
Telephone, email & system support working with agencies
Remote assistance via desktop and or a virtual private network where available.
Planned or emergency onsite assistance (Field Technical Support).
Meet with customers where required to support in vehicle concerns.
Translation and preparation of TSB information for the UK market. This also includes the update and revision of already existing TSB's for the UK market.
Translation (if necessary), preparation and effective implementation of Service Recalls & Campaigns information.
Be responsible for the 1st point of rest process, procedures and all PDI functions, including the fitment of accessories.
Manage and support continuous improvement activities regarding product quality at port and agencies, working with Engineering as required.
In conjunction with our client, create and implement policies and processes
Support new vehicle model Launch activities as required.
Coach and mentor our client's agencies in client aftersales processes
Support our client Technical Advisor & provide cover for when absent.
Who are we looking for?
If you are trained and certified to Master Technician status or equivalent the role of Automotive Technical Field Engineer could be ideal for you! We are looking for an automotive specialist who is proactive, consumer centric and wants to perform a pivotal role in the most exciting new premium car brand in the UK. You will also have the following skills and competencies:

Ability to contribute to the management of our client in a proactive, challenging and supportive manner.
Excellent written and oral skills.
Excellent excel skills and be highly proficient in word and power point.
Experience of working effectively in an international matrix organisation structure.
You will have significant experience working within a technical support function, offering support to agencies via different media i.e. online, telephone and face to face.
Can demonstrate a logical approach and be able to investigate, report on and diagnose complex vehicle systems, either "hands on" or remotely.
Will have a good working knowledge of aftersales systems and processes to be able to coach and mentor agency staff.
Able to work with government bodies for vehicle legislation requirements such as recalls or Type Approvals.Please note, to be considered for this role, you must possess a clean driving licence and be able to support at multiple locations within the UK requiring some overnight travel.

As our Automotive Technical Field Engineer, we can offer a competitive salary of up to £40,000 plus £3,000 bonus potential and a company vehicle.
