We are looking for a Biomass Manager to join our Biomass Boiler Team located in Buckinghamshire with travel required to our Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire plants.

Purpose of the role
To manage three litter burning plants focused on delivering operational uptime. Plants are to be run safely and efficiently, ensuring that processes are developed, followed and documented.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Provide a resource within the Biomass Boiler team to lead the process, develop the process and be the bridge between Technical and Agriculture teams.
• Map and review process to facilitate improvement activities.
• Analyze gaps, trends and data and make recommendations in support of decision making and business risk reduction.
• Deliver efficiency and effectiveness through an agreed approach.
• Establish and maintain a sustainable maintenance system.
• Work with the team to establish strategies and priorities for the systems to provide full operational functionality, effectiveness and future developments and champion the use of Lean tools and Methodology (continuous improvement).
• Develop and implement KPIs to deliver the goals of the business.
• Identify and support innovation.
• Ensure boiler operations are compliant with Company, Local and National Government legislations (combustion, waste, water, utilities).
• Establish and develop a health and safety culture and promote in line with the business values and standards.
• Invest time in self development and the development of your team.
What we are looking for:
• Knowledge and experience in process management and process control essential (or someone in process control/facility supervisor willing to take the next step).
• Knowledge of process control software.
• Engineering background is desirable/advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years previous steam system experience essential (BOAS minimum or close to obtaining), experience of pumps, flow rates, BMS controls, boiler operations, Delta P/T
• Previous experience of Biomass boiler/ CHP is advantageous.
• Working knowledge of material handling systems.
• The ability to analyse data, prioritize the outcomes, problem solve in a fast-paced environment
• Communication skills- the ability to present findings and interpret data to prioritise actions, and easily communicate complex ideas.
• Have commercial acumen.
• Health and Safety orientated.
• Knowledge of combustion systems and association legal requirements and regulations.
