Our Milton Keynes-based client is looking to recruit a Transport Administrator to join their team, so we are keen to speak with people with transport-based experience.
Position: Transport Administrator
Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00am – 6:30pm
Salary: £23,000 per annum
The job will involve…
– Monitor orders from SAP/Warehouse Management System
– Updating data on SAP system
– Creating and Printing despatch labels
– Creating and Printing transport manifests
– Booking in deliveries with customers
– Liaising with Sales on deliveries
– Liaising with delivery drivers and external couriers
– Tracking / Monitoring all deliveries
– Entering deliveries on external portals
– Obtaining ETAs and providing them to customers/Sales department
– Obtaining special delivery instructions from customers and updating data logs
– Booking / chasing returns
– Creating and monitoring performance reports for external couriers
– Carry out any ad hoc Administrative Duties
– Working closely with and supporting the Transport Controller
The Person will have…
– Experience of using SAP (Preferred)
– Transport-based experience (Essential)
– Experience of working in an administrative role
– Have good communication skills
– Good IT skills to include a working knowledge of Excel (Essential)
– Have good attention to detail
