Our client has a full time vacancy for a Student and Academic Support Lead. You will be responsible for the delivery of academic administration and student support, ensuring high levels of customer service and satisfaction. This role is offered as a fixed term contract, providing maternity cover till April 2022.
The role requires a blend of excellent administration and customer facing skills and experience. It is a busy role where you will need to be well organised, able to follow processes and the ability to prioritise. Currently you will work 2 days a week in the office and 3 days remotely, totaling 37 hours a week.
The role:
* Support the process for the recruitment of students
* Preparing and sending key communications to students throughout their contact
* Ensure the proper induction and initial registration of students
* Analysing information and general reports
* Providing specific advice and guidance where required
* Work closely with academic staff
* Supporting key events to include venue bookings and catering arrangements are in place
Requirements:
* A levels or equivalent
* Experience in an administrative role, preferably within education sector
* Effectiveness in prioritisation, delegation and time management
* Experience of managing the needs of a group of people, and balancing conflicting priorities of importance between them
* Experience of managing projects and/or events
* Experience of effectively and sensitively dealing with difficult situations
* IT literate, including word, email, internet use, and database applications
* Committed to developing and leading a customer service environment
* Self-motivated, methodical and highly organised
* Proven analytical and problem solving skills
* Flexibility and adaptability
* High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
* Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, including report writing
* Ability to build and sustain relationships across a diverse organisation and with external stakeholders
* Proven decision making ability
* The ability to communicate clearly
* Self-motivated, methodical and highly organised
