Our client based in Milton Keynes is looking for a Shipment Coordinator to initially work for home, but will eventually return to the office
The role of the Shipment Coordinator is to liaise with their internal and external customers to secure a booking appointment with their key customers, and prepare customer specific documentation. Working closely with our logistics and customer service team to get their products out on time, and following up on any queries along the way.
Responsibilities
• Secure delivery booking slots with key customers. This may be via an online portal, or an email to the customer.
• Prepare shipment information, whether this is specific packing requirements, or labels to ensure any value added services can be carried out.
• Generate customer specific packing lists accurately and timely to secure bookings.
• Generation of any additional necessary shipping paperwork
• Keep the customer service and logistics team updated on progress
• Accurately update spreadsheets to keep track of open requests
Knowledge and Experience
Through a minimum of two years’ experience in a Shipping role within a warehouse or wholesale environment, you must be able to demonstrate acquired skills and measurable success in each of the following areas:
• Know how to use excel and other Microsoft office applications
• Good communication skills, as this role involves working with numerous departments
• Flexibility
• Previous experience in wholesale or logistics is essential for this role, or understanding of the supply chain
